bbb-approved-check-markAbout BBB Approved

BBB Approved was originally created for people looking for legitimate ways to make money online. After much research and frustration I found that many of these so-called programs were just scammy websites.

They lure you in with the hopes and dreams that you can “work in your underwear” for just a few hours a day and make loads of money. Wouldn't anybody want to do that!?

Stay away when they start to show you mansions, yachts and expensive cars. That is just to cloud your judgement with “dreams” of a better life with everything you ever wanted. It just does not work that way!

This is when I looked to the Better Business Bureau to investigate some of these “business opportunities”. There were a few which were accredited by the Better Business Bureau, but not many. This was the beginning of BBB Approved.

What BBB Approved Means

First and foremost, BBB Approved does not mean that any businesses recommended on this website are “approved” by the Better Business Bureau. Far from it. The Better Business Bureau never endorses or “approves” a business. The official name of this website is, Being Better Business Approved.

There are many legitimate, solid online (as well as offline) businesses that do not wish to participate in the BBB accreditation process and pay their fees every year.

BBB Approved will be a different category for businesses that are not BBB Accredited but are approved by us based on their integrity and consumer feedback as well as other citations or awards.

Being a BBB Accredited Business

This website is a quick reference guide to businesses that are BBB Accredited that some may see as “shady” types of online businesses. These may be various types of insurance, payday loans, debt relief, etc.

Every business has its ups and downs and needs a reasonable amount of time to resolve their problems. This where the Better Business Bureau steps in and monitors whether the business acted in the interest of their customer and how quickly problems were resolved to a satisfactory result.

There is no guarantee that every business with the BBB Accredited seal is without problems. There are a few that slip through the cracks. Mostly you’ll see C’s and D’s on the businesses that are having trouble. Worse yet, F’s.

Feels like your back in school with this rating system!
